Reaching Out~~

Last night, The Outreach Dept. at church went out walking. Each of us in a few groups went street by street and met with people inviting them to church, handing out snacks, even more so we took prayer requests. With a little notepad and a pen I stood and asked "Is there anything you would like the Lord to do for you this evening"? I had alot of responses...For each of these request is a individual that is reaching out for comfort. I am to take their request down and pray about it.

Prayer is so important and I truely value praying with upmost respect.

Gavin @ http://mastomama.blogspot.com/ needs our prayers. He is currently having some itching, flushing, hives, and nausea. He is a precious little young man who really needs our thoughts and prayers continuously. His beautiful mom Mrs. Carla also needs some prayers as she is feeling not feeling well. Experiencing joint pain and really tired but being with Gavin at the Hospital earlier this week. I ask we also pray for Wisdom for the doctors at the Hospitals..Everyone can relate when you aren't able to see your regular physician, you see someone that doesn't know who you are, what you have been through..ANYTHING..they don't have a clue so we're gonna pray that the Dr.s don't take situations lightly. Every person needs really to be focused on ..and quite honestly..as Mom's we have this radar and we know when something isn't right.

So..please also head over to her blog and feel free to give her some hugs and encouragement.

Strength...

The lord is our strength, our rock, our shield..

No matter who YOU are...God loves YOU..

Think about it...

No matter what dealings you've had in your past...whether you get sidetracked to the left or right...

God is there to lead you right down the narrow straight path..

One might think..well I need to get straightened up first then God will love me..

And really, that couldn't be farther from the truth...

God loves you NOW and all YOU have to do is reach out and touch him...

Those words stem from a beautiful song I love..

Jesus is here right now reach out and touch him..

I can't express enough that God loves you regardless of what you may think or others might say to you.. He loves UNconditionally.

Tonight in Service, we were reading out of the Book of Psalms..oh I love Psalms..

Psalms 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

So far I've had a 2 prayer requests;

Julie- Her healing in her body and wisdom for the doctors she will be seeing.

Amy - Regarding her father and his heart..been showing signs of heart attack but going to see doctors for further look.

These are two of many, many requests I know are out there. Let us Begin.........

I had a thought tonight as I picked up my bible to start a prayer blog. All to often their are prayer requests and I read some where the individual says 'If you have time, could you pray for this need'.....

For reasons I'm unsure of I felt compelled to start my initial blog...and I know it is for complete purpose..as everything happens for a reason. I know without a doubt prayer works..it gives us strength, gives us peace and to know that it is in God's hands and ultimately his timing..

So.. as I was thumbing through my bible this scripture came to me..


Psalm 4:1

Hear me when I call,O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.
